The quest for sustainable buildings has taken center stage in Indonesia, as Indonesia and Korea continuously seeks to reduce its environmental footprint. A significant step towards this goal was marked by a recent seminar that brought together key players in the green building sector.
On 17th September 2024 held at Mercure Hotel, Gatot Subroto, Jakarta, the seminar focused on the management and certification of green buildings in Indonesia with the theme “Korea Indonesia Green Building Seminar 2024”.
Notable speakers at the seminar included Mr. Ir. Iwan Prijanto, MM., GP (Chairman of the Green Building Council Indonesia), Mr. Ir. Wiza Hidayat, ST, GP, IPU, ASEAN Eng (CEO of Ecobuild Green Building Consultant) and Kim Kyung-hak (CEO of Kevin Lab). Their presentations covered a wide range of topics, from renewable energy and green building policies to the latest green building technologies and certification systems.
Kevin Lab, a South Korean technology company specializing in energy controlling & monitoring solutions, expressed interest in partnering with Indonesian companies and Green Building Council Indonesia. This strategic partnership plan aims to accelerate the adoption of sustainable building practices in Indonesia and contribute to the country’s overall sustainability goals.
Wiza Hidayat as CEO of Ecobuild Green Building Consultant provided a comprehensive overview of various green building rating tools, such as Greenship, Bangunan Gedung Hijau (BGH), EDGE, LEED, WELL, Parksmart, and Greenmark. Wiza emphasized the importance of sustainability in the built environment and showcased successful green building projects, including Wisma BNI 46, Pusat Data Nasional, Pakuwon Tower, Otoritas Ibu Kota Nusantara (OIKN) and many more.
