Ir. Yadi Krisnadi Discusses the Role of AI in Green Architecture at ITB Ahmad Dahlan Webinar

Ir. Yadi Krisnadi, MM, GP, Chairman & Advisor of Ecobuild Green Building Consultant, invited as a guest speaker at Webinar #2 organized by RASTER: Center for Architectural Planning and Design ITB Ahmad Dahlan, supported by Indonesian Institute of Architects, on Tuesday, August 13th, 2024.

The webinar, themed “Unraveling AI in Architecture & Green Building,” was held online through Zoom Meeting and attended by participants from various backgrounds, including practitioners, academics, companies, government, associations, and media from all parts of Indonesia. 

The event was moderated by Annisa Marwati, S.Ars., M.Ars., GA, Lecturer in Architecture at ITB Ahmad Dahlan & Project Manager of Ecobuild Green Building Consultant.

This webinar discussed how AI technology can be applied in green architecture practices, the challenges faced, and opportunities to create a more environmentally friendly and sustainable built environment.

In the session, Ir. Yadi Krisnadi, MM, GP, highlighted that the green building concept focuses on minimizing the environmental impact of buildings. This concept emphasizes the use of renewable resources, energy efficiency, and the creation of healthy living spaces.

Additionally, Ir. Yadi Krisnadi, MM, GP, highlighted that architects can use AI to manage information and create synergy between the built environment and human behavior. AI helps generate design solutions based on subjective input from architects, connecting various parameters while retaining the human element that makes architecture interesting. AI also allows architects to extract meaningful data and apply it at the building scale to the community or city level.

“AI is not a threat to architects; rather, architects can utilize AI as a collaborative partner,” said Yadi Krisnadi.
