Ecobuild Webinar Series #2: Innovations in Eco-Friendly Architecture Featured on Detik.com

Coinciding with World Environment Day on Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Ecobuild Green Building Consultant held a national talk show themed “Innovations in Eco-Friendly Architecture.”

This talk show was held online and broadcasted live via YouTube, attracting over 500 participants from various sectors, including practitioners, academics, companies, government, associations, and media from Sabang to Merauke.

It featured prominent speakers who shared the latest trends and insights into environmentally friendly architecture, including Ar. Georgius Budi Y, IAI, AA (Chair of the Indonesian Architects Association), Ar. Reza A. Nurtjahja, IAI (Main Director & Main Architect of URBANE), Ir. Wiza Hidayat, ST, GP, IPU, ASEAN Eng (CEO of Ecobuild Green Building Consultant), and Dr. Ir. Ar. Ngakan Ketut Acwin Dwijendra, ST, S.Ds, MA, MH, IAI, IPU, ASEAN Eng (Lecturer at Udayana University, Chair of PII Bali Region, & Member of MUK BK for Architectural Engineering).

Wiza Hidayat, CEO of Ecobuild Green Building Consultant, emphasized the importance of preserving the earth for future generations. He stated that the green building sector plays a crucial role in achieving zero carbon emissions.

“The reality is that this earth was not inherited from our ancestors, but actually, we are only borrowing it from our children and grandchildren. The building sector is one that has a significant impact, and this is a collaboration between all of us to achieve net zero emissions and save the earth for future generations,” said Wiza.

In addition to the talk show, Ecobuild Green Building Consultant invited participants to contribute directly by donating to the ‘Plant The Tree With Ecobuild’ program, supporting sustainability efforts. This initiative encourages the public to participate in planting Rhizophora Mangrove trees in Bedono Village, Demak Regency, Central Java, in collaboration with LindungiHutan.com.

The program runs from June 5, 2024, to June 19, 2024, with a target of planting 1,000 trees. As a form of appreciation, the three most enthusiastic webinar participants and/or those who plant the most trees will be named “Environmental Heroes of the Day.”
