Wiza Hidayat, CEO of Ecobuild, has been appointed as an AFEO Honorary Member by the ASEAN Federation of Engineering Organisations (AFEO), a distinction awarded to distinguished engineers for their exceptional contributions to the advancement of engineering and sustainable development across the ASEAN region.
The conferment ceremony was held on Thursday, October 30, 2025, at the SMX Convention Center Clark, Pampanga, Philippines.
With a strong commitment to advancing sustainable development, Ir. Wiza Hidayat, ST., GP., IPU., ASEAN Eng. has led Ecobuild Green Building Consultant in spearheading more than 50 certified green building projects across Indonesia. Under his leadership, Ecobuild has played a key role in landmark developments such as the Nusantara National Capital Authority (OIKN), BNI Wisma 46, and Telkom Landmark Tower, contributing to the nation’s progress toward a more sustainable and environmentally responsible built environment.
Recognized as a Green Building Professional, EDGE Expert & Auditor, and Ahli Utama Bangunan Gedung Hijau, Wiza continues to advocate for sustainable design, energy efficiency, and human-centered environments. His professional excellence has been acknowledged through numerous accolades, including the Ganesa Wirya Jasa Utama Award from ITB (2025).
In his capacity as a Board Member of the Green Building Council Indonesia, he has played an active role in conducting policy analyses, undertaking gap assessments, and identifying strategic opportunities within the building sector to support the advancement of Indonesia’s Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC), with particular emphasis on the built environment, in pursuit of the Net Zero Emissions target by 2060.
Through his roles in the Institution of Engineers Indonesia (PII) and the Green Building Council Indonesia, Wiza actively promotes professional development, sustainability standards, and engineering excellence across the region.
His appointment as an AFEO Honorary Member stands as a testament to his visionary leadership, technical mastery, and enduring commitment to shaping a sustainable future for Indonesia and ASEAN.
