Jakarta – Menara 2 BTN, as the center of all business divisions of PT. Bank Tabungan Negara Tbk (BTN) has successfully achieved Greenship Existing Building certification with Platinum level (the highest credential) for their office building in Jakarta. This milestone positions Menara 2 BTN among Indonesia’s most environmentally friendly banking buildings, reaffirming BTN’s dedication to ESG principles and inspiring others to actively participate in creating a greener, more sustainable future.
The certificate was officially presented by the Chairman of the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) Ignesjz Kemalawarta to the Director of Assets Management of Bank BTN, Elisabeth Novie Riswanti on Friday (11/22/2024).
This achievement aligns with Bank BTN’s “Tumbuh Berkelanjutan” strategy, integrating ESG principles into operations. Assets Management Director Elisabeth Novie Riswanti said, “Currently, Bank BTN has begun to carry out various initiatives, such as saving electricity and water, waste management, using electric official cars, and supporting ESG programs implemented in various agencies. In the future, we are targeting five additional buildings to obtain green building certification.”

Menara 2 BTN has met the requirements for an environmentally friendly office set by the Green Building Council Indonesia (GBCI) with a total of 85 points covering various important aspects such as Appropriate Site Development (ASD), Energy Efficiency and Conservation (EEC), Water Conservation (WAC), Material Resources and Cycle (MRC), Indoor Health and Comfort (IHC), Building Environment Management (BEM).
Several significant improvements implemented in Menara 2 BTN include the expansion of green areas by 32.1%, energy efficiency of 21.86% with an IKE value of 234.41 kWh/m²/year, water savings of 26.7% through clean water consumption of only 36.65 liters/person/day, use of environmentally friendly materials, implementation of the Outdoor Air Introduction system, and various other innovations that support sustainability.
